Sails & spinnaker trim

Get the most efficiency from sails and rigging. Covers hoisting, gybing, and dousing the spinnaker, pole placement, halyard/sheet choreography, and trim cues (e.g. curl at the luff).

Procedure cues (summary)

Accordion-fold and run sheet/guy clear before hoisting.
Pole to windward; hoist from leeward.
Gybe: rotate pole end-for-end, keep the kite full, re-square afterward.
Douse leeward or windward depending on crew plan.

Drills are coached on the water—ask about prerequisites.

What will I learn in the sail trim and spinnaker workshop?

Folding and preparing the spinnaker, hoisting it, gybing it and dropping it to leeward or windward, setting the pole, coordinating halyard and sheets, and trim criteria for all sails.

What level do I need?

You should sail and handle a boat confidently. Ask about level requirements before booking.
