About us

Navegabacalar sailing school was born from a dream and a drive to promote sailing and the nautical lifestyle in Bacalar — thanks to our community and partners who share this moment with us.

Today we teach on the lagoon of seven colours, in the Pueblo Mágico of Bacalar, Quintana Roo, offering courses and workshops across sailing disciplines and nautical activities — whether you sail for leisure, work at sea, or aim to race.

Our instructors are endorsed by World Sailing across teaching levels. We provide comfortable facilities, quality boats and gear, and instruction in Spanish and English. We welcome visitors and crews from abroad who want to learn to sail safely and professionally while caring for the biodiversity of this unique wind-and-sun destination.

We are sailing professionals, passionate about sharing the knowledge and skills that define this sport and lifestyle. Through this entrepreneurial vision we aim to reach children, young people, and adults in Quintana Roo — and beyond.

Our mission is to give everyone the chance to learn the art of sailing on this extraordinary lagoon, so that seamanship becomes a life skill — for work or leisure — rooted in discipline and emotional resilience, helping people grow as productive, happy stewards of the environment.
