One-to-one session with an instructor on Bacalar Lagoon, shaped around your level and the skills you want to work on.
A two-hour session on Bacalar Lagoon with just you (or your own small group) and a school instructor. It is not a fixed syllabus: we start from where you actually are and work on whatever you want to improve.
Who it is for
- Sailors who finished a course and want to consolidate before going out alone.
- Sailors who already sail elsewhere and need to get familiar with the lagoon and our boats.
- Anyone who would rather learn without a group, at their own pace.
What we work on
You set the agenda when you book. The most common requests:
- Harbour manoeuvres: leaving and returning to the dock, mooring.
- Clean tacks and gybes, sail trim.
- Man overboard and safety procedures.
- Reading the lagoon breeze and choosing a course.
What is included
The boat, life jackets and the instructor for the whole session. The school picks the most suitable boat for what you want to practise and for the day's conditions.
Conditions
Outings depend on the wind and the state of the lagoon; if the day is not sailable, we reschedule at no cost.
